What benefits do I get with Teletherapy or Video Therapy?

With the threat of COVID-19, you can ease the fears and anxiety of being exposed to VIRUS, germs and infections unnecessarily.
It is not necessary to leave the house. With teletherapy and video therapy, you can still meet with your psychologist in the comfort of your home.

How does it work ?

All Video Appointments are required to be Pre-paid to schedule them.  Once you call to  pre-paid your appointment, you will receive a Welcome email and a link to the digital documents and questionaires you are required to fill digitally/online from your computer/Laptop/tablet or smart phone,  with DETAILED and simple instructions for filling out the documents and send them back automatically once completed, 48 hours prior to your appointment. 

The day of your scheduled appointment...

Start your session from your computer / Laptop / tablet or smartphone by clicking on  the link that we send you by text and email, allowing the use of your device's camera and sound/headphones during the session. 

Register your name and password we sent to you  and you will be ready to go! 

 

Steps to register for your online video session follow these simple steps:

Using your computer/Laptop/tablet or your smart phone:.

  1. Click on the link and Password sent to you to enter the virtual room where we will meet for the session.
  2. When we are ready to start, click  to activate the microphone and camera of your device: desktop /Laptop or smart phone. 
  3. Your computer/ laptop/ your tablet or smart phone may display a message asking the program to access the microphone and camera.

Check if  you're ready for online therapy?

  1. Do you have a Laptop, tablet, desktop PC or Mac that is 3 years old or older?
    Older devices may have difficulty running the platform correctly. Call me if that's the case and we may use another video platform, with direct access.
  2. Is your space equipped with a high speed internet connection that is reliable?
    It is recommended to connect directly to your router using an Ethernet cable for wired Internet, although wireless networks can also work well.
  3. Have you downloaded Chrome  or Firefox to your computer/laptop/tablet or smart phone to use as an Internet browser?
    Standard browsers like Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, or Safari on a Mac may encounter  compatibility issues with video software, as those browsers aren't as up-to-date with modern code. If you use any of the above, let me know 1 day in advance to send you the link of our other shortcut platform.
  4. Do you have access to a well-functioning webcam? Most modern PCs / laptops  have incorporated webcams(camera)  that will work great for Video- therapy! If you have a desktop PC or Mac, you may need to purchase and set up an external webcam or if you prefer, you may have your session from your smartphone.
  5. Are you comfortable using the computer software? The online portal is easy to navigate and requires no training to use. However, those who find computers confusing or frustrating in general may have their session over the phone. It is Equally useful and practical!
